ENGINEERING | CIVIL ENGINEERING

Civil engineering is a branch of engineering focused on the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment. This includes structures like Buildings and skyscrapers, Bridges and tunnels, Roads and highways, Dams and canals, Water supply and sewage systems.

Civil engineers play a vital role in infrastructure development, ensuring structures are safe, efficient, and sustainable. They often specialize in areas such as Structural Engineering (designing buildings and bridges), Geotechnical Engineering (studying soil and rock behavior), Transportation Engineering (planning roadways and transit systems), Water Resources Engineering (managing water flow, flood control, etc.), Construction Engineering (overseeing building processes) etc.

The Department of Civil Engineering was established right from the start of the institute in the year 2023 with an initial intake of 60 students for diploma later in 2024 the under graduate program also started. The department has well-established laboratories equipped with modern tools in the fields of surveying, strength of materials, concrete technology, fluid mechanics, geology, and engineering mechanics, among others.

The Department of Civil Engineering is dedicated to delivering high-quality education that prepares students to become skilled planners, designers, and builders of the future built environment. Our programs emphasize both technical competence and ethical responsibility, ensuring graduates are well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of society. In addition to academic excellence, the department actively engages in research, development, and industrial consultancy, fostering innovation and contributing to sustainable infrastructure growth.
